HISTORY:

Naota is one of three brothers born into the main branch of the Kageyama family. Though his family couldn't be classified as wealthy, they were still quite influential. Naota comes from a long line of highly-disciplined samurai warriors. He is the youngest of three brothers, and though his older brothers were sent away from home at the same time to train under Inazuma Seigo, a famous master of swordsmanship, he didn't follow after them until three years later, due to his mother's reluctance to send him away from home. He joined around the same time as Rin, and at first, he thought that she was weird and scary. Eventually, she finally began to speak, and Naota and Rin became friends. For a few more years, things would remain peaceful at the Inazuma Dojo, and the four of them would become inseparable... that is, until disaster struck. Assassins from an organization that seemed to be connected with Rin in some way attacked the Inazuma household, and only she, Naota, Yuuta, Kenta, and two others would survive.

After this tragedy subsided, Rin, Kenta, Yuuta, and Naota began to travel together in search of the ones responsible for mudering their master and fellow students. Wherever Rin went, the Kageyama brothers were never too far behind.

PERSONALITY AND QUIRKS:

Out of the three brothers, Naota is the youngest, and therefore the most childish. Be that as it may, he is also the warmest, kindest, and most sensitive out of the three. He is the easiest to get to know, since he is very honest and up-front about everything. Everything he feels he shows it either in his facial expression or in his gestures, and it is very difficult for him to hide anything from anyone, unless it's a treasured secret from a good friend. He's very loyal to his friends, so he's an easy friend to make and keep.

Naota has a weakness for sweet things and cute things. This is very embarrassing to him, since he comes from a long line of very masculine swordsmen.

Naota has a talent for sewing, and loves wearing stylish clothing. This is also very embarrassing to him, due to the masculine nature of his heritage.

Older women love Naota. They find his childish appearance and personality very adorable, so he often receives gifts from them.

YUUTA KAGEYAMA

FACTS: Yuuta is a very serious and pragmatic person.  He carries this air of no-nonsense around and never seems to smile or laugh.  He always seems like he's not in a good mood.  Normally, he is polite, but very cavalier towards others.  At his worst, he glares at people as though he is trying to set them on fire, but he will still probably be polite.  He generally comes off as a guy who can't have any fun, and most people are either intimidated by his cold demeanor or dislike him for being an unfriendly person. Yuuta's beliefs and manners are very, very traditional.  He will always speak formally... unless he's really irritated. Yuuta never watches television or movies, believing them to be a waste of his time.  He also hates video games. Yuuta does like to listen to music, though.  He can play the shamisen.  Yuuta has a very ingrained sense of duty.  As the oldest of his three brothers, he seems to think that being a proper representative of the Kageyama family is extremely important.  He feels a lot of pressure to uphold this sort of image and will do everything he can to keep it up. Yuuta is a straight A student.  In his spare time, he is either training or taking care of business. Yuuta is very fastidious.  His apartment is always immaculate, and he really hates it when his brothers don't clean their rooms. Yuuta doesn't like that many things.  But he does like cooking.   Yuuta also likes exercising, reading, and hot baths. PREVIOUS LIFE: Yuuta is the first born son of his family, born just minutes ahead of his twin brother, Kenta and two years ahead of the baby of the family, Naota.  Yuuzen Kageyama, Yuuta's father, was a wealthy, yet benevolent philanthropist known mostly for his work with orphanages and the homeless.  His mother, Naoko, was beautiful and faithful both as a wife and a mother.  In the public eye, their family was perfect. However, people don't make money by simply giving it away. Certainly, Yuuzen Kageyama couldn't. After the sun went down, the family portrait was painted in much darker tones.  Deals under tables in the smoky, shadowy corners of places that women and children mustn't get too close to.  Puppeteers would tug at strings with the corners of their mouths upturned ever-so-slightly.  And Yuuzen Kageyama made a very fine puppet, indeed. Yuuta, being the eldest, would become responsible for taking Yuuzen's place in the future.  Because of this, he was given a strict education and upbringing.  His free time was rare, and even that was regulated rather closely.  Everything about Yuuta was decided for him... what his hobbies would be.  Who he would befriend.  Who he was allowed to date.  What he was allowed to wear.  And he was told again and again that it was all because he would inherit the family... though he wouldn't know exactly what that meant until much later. If he had a problem with this restrictive lifestyle, his family never knew.  He became quite adept at keeping any of his unattractive character traits (e.g frustration, anger, fatigue) hidden.  He was well-mannered, charming, and photogenic.  He was, according to most people, next to perfect. The only ones who were able to bear witness to cracks in Yuuta's lovingly crafted facade were his brothers.  Kenta, in particular, could understand Yuuta better than anyone, and Naota's gentle character was often a source of refuge.  Their relationship wasn't perfect, but as brothers, they were close. DEATH: Of course, the life expectancy of the puppets of unsavory characters is rather short... particularly when puppets try to cut their own strings.  After attempting to sever his ties to the underground,  Yuuzen was caught and would be forced to watch everything he had ever made disappear in ways as slow and painful as the puppetmasters' imaginations would stretch.   Naoko was sent to heaven in her attempt to protect Naota, who would soon have the same fate bestowed upon him.  Kenta and Yuuta were able to run for a bit longer.  However, it would become apparent that there were far too many dark and smoky corners housing underground puppeteers in the world.  Instead of allowing themselves to be killed, the two decided to instead take fate into their own hands.  For these strawberry blonde twins, nothing could have been more appropriate than double homocide.  Their poisoned cups were downed with their arms linked... KENTA KAGEYAMA

 

KANJI: 影山剣多 RACE: HUMAN HEIGHT: 5'11 (6'2 including his hair) WEIGHT: 148.6 lbs YEAR: 3rd CLASS: SAMURAI TRAIT: BARRAGE BOUND TO: Akuro Matsukata THEME: RANDOM FACTS: Kenta, at a glance, seems like a total idiot.   During school, he spends all of his free time either practicing finishing poses during Kendo club, sparring with Akuro at any given point in time, or convincing people that he is a legendary bringer of Great Justice.  He also spends a great deal of time flashing his best "nice guy" smile at nobody in particular.   When at home, he can usually be found marathonning shows like Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Batman: the Animated Series, X-Men, Beyblade, Gurren Lagaan, Transformers, Mobile Suit Gundam, etc. while eating takeout of some sort.  If you asked him why he does this, he will tell you that it's Justice research. Kenta is rather friendly... maybe even too friendly.  If he decides that someone is his friend, whether they like it or not, they are stuck with him for eternity.   He believes strongly in following the rules and is ridiculously obedient towards the teachers:  he will often respond to their questions or requests too energetically.  Therefore, even if he seems like a compete numbskull, his grades are actually quite good. Kenta has a soft spot for small, fuzzy animals.  He has a pomeranian named "Zordon" and an angora cat named "Professor X". Kenta has two brothers.  One is his identical twin, named Yuuta.  The other is is younger brother, named Naota.  He considers himself the most popular out of the three, but this is probably not true.  Their personalities are all really, really different. His best friends at school are Hotaka and Christian.  Together, they form Team Justice.  When it's just Hotaka and Kenta together, they become Team Bronihilation.  It's basically like transforming into Megazord. He is also friends with Daiki and Kazu but he doesn't get to see them that often due to them having very different class schedules.  He's probably still sore at Daiki's boyfriend for wrecking his Gundam, though. Even if he seems like a total dullard most of the time, he has a serious side.  There is probably more going on inside his head than he likes to let on.   PREVIOUS LIFE:   Kenta Kageyama was the middle child, but he is only younger than his twin, Yuuta, by a few minutes.  Naota was only two years younger than him, which wasn't really that much time, either.  However, a few minutes and two years might as well have been a century, the three of them were viewed so differently.    Yuuta received a lot of attention, being the heir to everything Yuuzen Kageyama had to his name.  Naota was doted upon, being the adorable baby of their family.  Kenta, however, had trouble making himself stand out... in his home, he was simply looked at as a spare Yuuta.  A living, perfect replica in the unlikely event that things would go wrong.   He therefore, was educated in a very similar way to his older brother... he studied the same subjects under private tutors and had a full schedule.  However, the adults in Kenta's life knew that Kenta would not inherit the headship, so naturally, they did not give Kenta as much attention.  No matter how hard he worked or how much he had achieved, his success was usually met with halfhearted praise and a passive reminder of the fact that he would probably not be the one to inherit the headship.  Whenever he did poorly, it usually resulted in similar indifference.  Kenta grew quite accustomed to being unnoticed.  The only ones to encourage him to stray away from total apathy were his brothers.  Naota was often a source of praise and warmth, while Yuuta would often snap Kenta out of any gloomy spells. 	Personality: Adriel is generally a very reserved, logical person. Because he goes out of his way to avoid talking about himself and his personal history, he gives off a mysterious air. Generally, he is easy to get along with provided that one is not bothered by this tendency.  He is not particularly unfriendly, and sometimes one could even consider Adriel to be a talkative person so long as the subject does not revolve around him personally.  Usually, he speaks and acts in a very bland, colorless way.  Though it is possible to get under his skin, he rarely shows any extreme emotion.  It is more common for Adriel to frown than to smile. HISTORY:

  She was born in Jejudo, Korea to Kim Yu-Jin, her Korean mother and Yukii Kyoushin, the former head of the Yukii household in Japan. At the time, their union was a taboo in both of their families, so for a while, they went into hiding so that they could live together peacefully. However, when Rin was four, Kyoushin and Yu-Jin were murdered at the hands of Yukii assassins. Rin was spared because she was such a young child, and the assassins supposed that she would die anyway. The tragedy left her mute and traumatized, and her eyes, which were brown, turned a dark shade of red.

  For the next month, she wandered aimlessly.  From time to time, strangers took pity on the child and would offer her food and temporary lodging.  Doing this, she ended up in Nagoya, and was eventually taken in by Inazuma Seigo and Ayumi, a famous couple known for their prestigious schools.  Seigo ran a training school for samurai, while Ayumi owned a school that taught etiquette, art, music, and dance to young girls. Slowly, as she became more comfortable with her surroundings, Rin began to speak again. At first, Ayumi was her only teacher.  However, even under Ayumi's strict tutilege, she was unnervingly obedient and focused, and she seemed to learn things quickly.  Because of this, Seigo began to teach her the basics of swordsmanship to see if she could handle it.  After the first lesson, she let Seigo know immediately that she wanted to pursue swordsmanship more seriously than simply learning it as a side subject.  Years would pass, and it seemed that the only thing that Rin enjoyed doing was learning, studying, and improving.  She was courteous towards the other students, but it was a cold, distant sort of courtesy.  Still, one student by the name of Kenta Kageyama seemed to take a liking to her and persistently tried to break through her cold exterior.  Eventually, he, and later, his two brothers, Yuuta and Naota Kageyama, would succeed in becoming the only people she could call close friends.  In this sense, she gained a new family, and though she did not forget what had happened to her parents, she nearly felt as though she could live her life peacefully.  She was nearly able to put her horrible childhood memories to rest.  Nearly.

  A few months later, disaster struck the Inazuma household, and Ayumi, along with nearly all of students attending the school at the time, were viciously murdered, and the schools were burned to the ground. Seigo, in response, committed seppuku because he wasn't able to protect his family and students. Rin, Kenta, Yuuta, and Naota were among five survivors out of fifty. The experience was a cruel reminder of what had happened to her in the past.  That day, she resolved to seek out the ones responsible for the tragedies that occurred in her life and claim her own personal justice.

MODERN SETTING

  Rin's modern equivalent has lived since the 1500's.  Some might call her a devil.  Some might call her an angel.  If you asked her to describe exactly what she was, she would simply reply, "It's unfortunate, however, I am a Yukii."

  By this time, Rin has eliminated about eighty-five percent of her father's family (in other words, the ones responsible for the tragedy she witnessed when she was young).  After an event that she refuses to retell, she agreed to leave the remaining fifteen percent alone provided that they do the same for her.  Their armistice is still in effect, however shakily.

  In the meantime, she goes between attending middle schools, high schools, colleges, and has even held full-time jobs.  However, every four or five years, she usually finds some way to transfer in order to keep up the appearance of being a normal human being.  Exploring different ways to live life is the only thing she finds meaningful about her existence.

PERSONALITY AND QUIRKS:

Rin's personality is difficult to place at first: she is extremely polite, fastidious, and cordial, and upon meeting her for the first time, it might seem like that is all that there is to her. Her appearance is always neat, tidy, and well-put-together. Though she is usually smiling, her smile is somewhat unreadable, and has a plastic quality, as if she were some sort of doll. Her smile and her mannerisms act as a wall to prevent people from getting too close to her. In truth, she is actually rather clever, calculating, and driven.  Her heart, however, is rather soft, which is a quality that she constantly seeks to suppress since she feels that it is a hindrance more than a positive quality.

Rin’s tendencies towards perfectionism straddle the line between particular and obsessive. Her apperance, as well as her living environment are always spotless. With Rin’s background in dance, music, and the like, she possesses an excellent sense of balance, and a natural, albiet unnerving fluidity is evident in every motion she makes, no matter how small: even mundane actions such as walking or cooking may appear as dancing when performed by Rin.

Rin has never sustained a serious injury and does not possess a single scar on her entire body.  Be that as it may, Rin almost always covers between fifty to eighty percent of her body in bandages. This is more to preserve decency during battle than anything else.
